CME Group

Well, CME Group is what it’s called today, but when I was selling sustems for price reporting there was the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Because he applications were so important to the functioning of the exchange which translates into making or not making money, my team had to be available 24/7. When you reflect back on the running of the exchange you have to note that there were very few times when the markets were not open. Because there was so much focus on keeping the systems running, I spent a lot of time with the key people responsible for keeping the systems running. It’s been awhile since I worked with the exchanges, 1997, but I still remmber the people I worked with who became my friends. Don Serpice, the greatest Sox Fan ever, still communicates with me. In fact he wrote a nice note about me which is in my “About Me” page. Jim White from the Chicago Board of Trade, wrote a nice piece also.
