Investments in real estate over the last several years has proven to be tricky. The old adage in investing is to “Buy Low and Sell High.” Easier said than done. In the last year we have seen entire portfolios wiped out. Home equities wiped out. I don’t have to go much further with examples. We all know how bad it has been.
I have been an investor. I sold some properties near the high and kept others that are now under water. I own land that my partner and I are developing. We missed the highs of a few years ago, but we bought prime land and that is always at a premium and less likely to lose value. www.azhillsidelots.com
The real question as an investor is “Are we at or near the bottom?” The most recent statistics suggest this is so but you as an investor need to do the detailed research and draw that conclusion.
The next questions is “Do I buy land, single famly homes and rent them or do I buy multifamily properties? Then there is commercial and its set of problems, risks and rewards.
I have bought and rented single family homes. I have land that I am developing. In the other real estate investments I have no experience.
Prescott is a prime location and as we have always been taught it’s all about the location. There is a lot of land on the market here at very good prices. If you are interested, give me a call.
